Game running like a slideshow

The audio is fine, but the game is so laggy that it is unplayable. I have a NVIDIA RTX A1000 Laptop GPU (4GB) and 32GB of RAM, so I believe that I'm well within recommended specs.

Unfortunately your 4Gigs of VRAM are the issue, because there haven't been any performance optimizations yet the least required VRAM specs are 8 GB atm to run more than less smooth.
Try adjusting your Resolution to 720p or maybe even 1080p this could boost you a few frames but otherwise you'll need to wait until performance updates take place.
