Production Fabricators Will Randomly Stall

  My supply chain is 3 miners connected by a merge to one furnace. The furnace then turns everything into iron ingots and pushes it to a storage container. Then from the container I have two fabricators set up (one for plates and one for rods), which are connected together by a splitter. So both should pull iron ingots out of the storage chest and produce the selected recipe. Both machines have power as indicated. However the fabricators do not pull the materials. I have deleted the whole chain and still nothing.

  I have had this happen - when the backlog is over 1500 pieces the machines stall out. I was able to use the grab all button and it would start back up again. Then manually loaded it back up to 1500 where it would stall again.
