Was watering plants and could no longer interact or use esc menu

I was watering my plants had 4 bottles and when i was done watering the plants I could no longer use E to interact with anything and I couldn't use the ESC button, i could pull the console with ` however please include a save and close or save and go back to menu option from the console? If it happens again I will pull screens and possibly video.

JeanneJust had this happen to me too, though I was out exploring, not watering plants. I was able to use the console to exit to main menu, but it never finished loading to the menu. I had to force quit it through Steam. I just started it back up and continued game and ALL my inventory is gone except tablet and 1 credit. All my storage is completely empty too.
