"Cheap Bed" not in shop for "Rest and Recover" quest

It may be because I was focused on unlocking things at the manufacturing station and ignored the shelter quest for a while. By the time I got to it, I'd already unlocked the cottage and iron beds, and now that I've reached "rest and recover," there doesn't seem to be a "cheap bed" in the shop. I tried placing the cottage bed, and then the ironframe one, but neither registers as completing this quest. I'm pretty sure I now have to completely restart the game just to progress past this quest :( I saw a few people on the Discord also posted that they could only find the ironframe bed in the shop at this point.
EDIT: Just a note that this is my second attempt to play through and in the first one I did get the chance to place the cheap bed, but I don't think I'd done much yet with the manufacturing station in that game.
